Who Should Attend?
It is suited for nominated first aiders in smaller, low risk working environments.
Course Content:
Health & Safety: Understand workplace safety protocols specific to smaller work settings.
AED Familiarization: Gain proficiency in using Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs).
First Aid Kit Usage: Learn how to effectively use a First Aid kit.
Resuscitation (CPR): For adults.
Recovery Position: Know how to position an unconscious person safely.
Choking (Adult): Learn life-saving techniques for choking incidents.
Burns & Scalds: Understand first aid for burns and scalds.
Poisoning (including Anaphylaxis): Recognize and respond to poisoning emergencies.
Shock Management: Learn to recognize and manage shock.
Bleeding & Nose Bleeds: Address bleeding situations.
Head Injuries: Learn about head injury assessment and care.
Breaks, Sprains & Strains: Understand musculoskeletal injuries.
Specific Medical Conditions: Heart Attack, Asthma, Diabetes and Seizures.
Assessment and Certification:
Assessment is conducted by the Trainer.
Successful delegates receive a Certificate which is valid for three years.
